Bubsterr’s – Get your Pork on!

What is it about some sizzling meat and some coagulated dairy between some puffy wheat cake, that makes us mortals close our eyes in gluttonous pleasure and utter “ooh”s and “aah”s out of our stuffed faceholes? Add to that some crispy fatty smoky pieces of swine meat and suddenly eyes widen and breathing gets heavy. We may never know ‘why’ exactly, but it’s fun to get that feeling again and again.

Bubsterr’s is making all such porky dreams of yours come true. After winning numerous hearts with their wicked pizzas, owners, Vidur and Ridhiema have introduced a new Pork Burger menu. I was invited along with the Food Prowl team for a tasting of these bundles of joy. Created with a lot of love and care, the patties are made fresh for every order, different for every burger using specific ingredients. This results in very juicy and unique burgers. Along with the burgers they have also introduced new salads, which were pretty special too.

THE BURGS

BBQ’d Pork Burg

Thick, juicy pork patty with crispy smokey bacon, all sizzled in their special BBQ sauce. A little sweet, a little savoury, and extremely satisfying.

The Massive Porky Lucy

As interesting as it looks and sounds. A ‘XXL’ size patty with a healthy dose of cheese inside which almost oozes out when you take a bite. Then comes the bacon; enough to start a war. Would you have it any other way? Just one thing though, I would have liked it cheesier and messier.

Classic Pork Burg

Not interested in the fancy frills and want to keep it simple? The classic burger is the one for you. I really liked it. The beautiful flavour of the fresh pork comes through with some vegetables and some mayo. It’s no less tasty and very value for money.

Spicy Pork Burg – A burger with some hit of jalapenos and hot sauce. Would have loved some more spice though. It was spicier than it’s brothers but we want more than just tingling tongues, we want some watery eyes too! The owners said that spice was held back slightly so that it doesn’t overpower the delicate flavour of the pork meat. But, if you want it extra punchy, you can tell them that while ordering.

THE SALADS

Why are there salads to spoil the party, you ask? Let me tell you, not all good salads finish last, some rock the party and break a few hearts too.

Caesar Salad – Quite a classic lettuce, chicken and crouton salad topped with a generous hand of cheese and crispy bacon bits. Ridiculously good.

Chef’s Special Salad – This one blew our minds. Crazy combination of beets, lettuce, toasted walnuts and heaps of feta. Garnished with an awesome balsamic vinegar glaze and parsley. The combination of flavours was superb and the dressing just hit the spot. This little vegetarian dish gave a really tough fight to it’s meaty competition.

Classic Greek Salad – Very simple and refreshing. Can’t beat it.

MUTTON BURGERS

We were also served a few mutton specialities. The Nawabi Burger was a classic seekh kabab style mince mutton patty garnished with onions and minty green chutney. The Mutt-shroom Burger was another favourite with favourful sauteed mushrooms with a mutton patty and caramelized onions. A really amazing burger.

It was an amazing time tasting all these amazing burgers. Fresh meat, cooked to perfection, carefully selected toppings and really fresh soft bun. The salads were delightful and satisfying. Bubsterr’s has upped the ante and their food is simply amazing. Their hardwork and dedications shows.

Do you love pork bacon burgers? Have you had the stuff at Bubsterr’s? If not, get some and don’t forget to let me know you experience in the comments below.

  1. I’m not sure why but this weblog is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a issue on my end? I’ll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.
